Promoting the next generation of urban development
to create infrastructure for comfortable lives
and vibrant economic activities.

A city is a place to live and conduct economic activities. We aim to create a comfortable and distinctive life space that matches with the lifestyles of the new generation, based on studies from various aspects.

As an overall consultant, we integrate technical skills from all departments to make plans and proposals for general urban planning. Our main business includes “planning and design for improving traffic nodes that connect a station to the city” around a railway station, “study for improvement of railway crossings” such as continuous grade separation projects, “planning for three-dimensional use of space such as underground shopping areas” for realizing more efficient use of valuable space, and “parks and open space planning,” for creating more pleasant cities.

Efforts by field

Planning for improving traffic nodes

To improve traffic nodes that connect stations to cities – from large-scale terminal stations like Shinkansen stations to local stations for commuters – we consider the role of station plazas, pedestrian decks, car/bicycle parks, and underground shopping areas from comprehensive viewpoints, and make proposals for creating pleasant spaces in which people can feel comfortable.

road planning and improvement of railway crossings

To solve urban traffic issues such as traffic congestion and the problem of railway crossings being kept closed for lengthy periods, we conduct traffic volume surveys and questionnaires to understand problems and local needs, produce a future estimation, and precisely assess the current and future tasks. At the same time, we consider how to improve roads to solve issues, study the way to improve railway crossings, such as continuous or single grade separation, and analyze cost effectiveness for promoting business.
